About Wade
Hi, I’m Wade and I’m 17 from Tucson, Arizona. I’ll be blogging abroad this fall from Japan, where I’ll be studying at a local high school, living with a host family, and traveling to different places around the country. I hope you enjoy reading my posts! Here’s some information about me, so you know who’s writing:
About Me: I am one of the most productive and fast paced people you will ever meet. I have interests in activities from circus performing to book collecting, and all the way to auto mechanics and cooking. Having so many interests often causes people to see me as a chaotic person, yet once you sit down and talk with me; the tables turn to the opposite. Going from hyperactive to calm and collected puts me on the border of being a social person and a reserved one, meaning I can thrive and work in both group and individual projects. Balancing this is often hard, and there are many times things become too much for me to handle, but once I step back and take a breath, I’m ready to go another round. One of my favorite qualities is may flexible and light thinking habits that help me advance forward and adapt to new situations. I have fairly good judgment on deciding what to do at what times, I weigh my options constantly, and look for the benefits of both decisions; however, this is also my weak point. If I can’t decide on something, it will often takes me a while to figure out what to do, but eventually I’ll take a step forward again. I love meeting new people, and the thought of traveling makes me run even faster. But I enjoy taking some time to remember the good times. One of the hardest things for me to do is sit still. Sometimes I can manage, especially when forced to, but at home I can often be found going from one end of the house to the next, yet at the same time I do it quietly. Good luck keeping track of me if we become friends.

Please briefly answer the following questions:
Why did you pick your host country? I chose my host country because Japan has been a part of my life from even before I remember. From the toys I played with and the shows I watched to the books I read when I was older; it has always influenced my life.
What made you want to study abroad? I have learned a lot by paying attention to the influences Japanese culture had on my life, then I notice how much more I could learn, and I decided to experience it myself.
What will you miss most while you are abroad? I will probably miss my friends and family while I’m away, and the events I will miss when I’m in Japan. I will also miss the food I get to eat here that might not be in Japan. And what I’ll probably miss most is that comfort of familiarity I have in my life.
What are your personal goals for your time abroad? I want to learn as much as I can about Japanese art, I would also like to learn about the food biasness that over in Japan. It might help me a lot if I could make friends in both Japan and America.
